Artists Image Resource (AIR) initiates and facilitates projects with professional artists, creating an active laboratory environment where artists, students, and the community interact.
PPG Workshop
Join us at Artists Image Resource (AIR), in Pittsburgh, PA, for an afternoon in the exhibition Consumption, the first show in the three-part series Notes on Prints and Printmaking. The series is co-organized by Pittsburgh Print Group, and curated by Hannah Turpin and Michaela Blanc.
Visitors are welcome to tour the exhibition, then spend hands-on time with Cincinnati-based visual artist Stephanie Berrie, learning to screenprint a paper flower from start to finish. In this social practice experience, participants will be invited to add their flower to Berrie's installation Monstrous Garden (2025) in the show.

30 Years of AIR | 10 Years of #notwhite collective
A constellation is not simply a group of stars, but a way of seeing. Points of light, colorful, distant and distinct, held together through pattern, memory, and story. A grouping of luminaries coming together through memories, sharing and singing; a constellation of our own mythologies in action. The #notwhite collective gathers in this way. Thirteen women artists, each carrying their own histories, crossings, and inheritances, coming into relation to form something larger than the individual.

Gameday Poster Series

The Pittsburgh Steelers, in collaboration with Commonwealth Press, release gameday posters designed by locally sourced artists for each home game of the season, and one to commemorate the season in its entirety! A limited number of posters will be available for purchase on game day at the Steelers Pro Shop and online.
Community Access / Printmaking Services
AIR supports our creative and educational communities in many ways including off the street print related services:

AIR offers archival digital printing services on heavyweight substrates for artists and others. AIR’s Epson 9890 can print on rolls of media up to 44” wide. Standard flat sheet sizes are 13 x 19 and 17 x 22.

We offer access to Relief, Etching (30 x 50 and 18 x 36) and Lithographic (30 x 50) presses.

Images up to 12 x 18 on screens up to 23 x 31 are standard. Larger images up to 32 x 48 on screens up to 48 x 72 can be processed and purchased on a case-by-case basis.

Artists can schedule printing sessions in two-hour increments to facilitate small screenprinting projects.

AIR offers stackable learning blocks to artists interested in obtaining a functional knowledge of various print processes. Generally, blocks consist of 4-hour sessions that include materials, instruction, access to equipment and studio time.

AIR works with its collaborators and artists to set pricing and make prints made at AIR available to the public.
